The purchase includes employees and future contracts served from the site, the company said. The property will remain in the possession of SGL Carbon and will be leased to the buyer for use.
The sale is reportedly part of SGL’s realignment of its Composite Solutions business unit in the US which will now be based in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Plans are to expand the facility for the manufacture of composite components for automotive.
